Description

Photo album titled: "Side and Arm Chairs 51." Title is hand printed on a round paper label affixed to spine; volume number is also printed on a paper label affixed to spine. Album has a heavy textured dark brown covering and is held together with two metal brads. Album has 62 olive green pages; ten of the pages are blank. Album contains 51 mounted black-and-white photographs depicting 21 armchairs and 37 side chairs. Photographs are of a variety of armchairs and side chairs designed and manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers have been added by hand in some cases. No customer names are noted. Album also contains one advertisement for Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport from the October 1925 issue of "The Architect." Digital images of a selection of photographs from the album are attached to this record.
