Description

Photo album titled: "Hotel and Lodge Furniture 67." Title is hand printed on a round paper label affixed to spine; volume number is also printed on a paper label affixed to spine. Album has a heavy textured dark brown covering and is held together with two metal brads. Album has 90 olive green pages; nineteen of the pages are blank. Album contains 68 mounted and five loose black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of furniture forms manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. for hotels, lodges and other public buildings.The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs. Customer names are handwritten on several album pages. Named customers are: Cleveland Pulbic Library (Cleveland, OH); Elks Club Lodge (Quincy, MA); Hotel Statler (Boston, MA); Masonic Temple (Manchester, NH); Ritz-Carlton Hotel (Boston, MA); and Washington State Capital (Olympia, WA).
