Papers of Tristram Coffin, Jr. (1632-1704)

Description

Series XIV, Papers of Tristram Coffin, Jr. (1632-1704) 1657-1711 (#C.2.17-C.2.18, OB.1.8), contains legal documents which include Coffin's land deeds; a 1691 arbitrator's document; a 1695 fragment of a Freeholder's meeting held in the Town of Newbury (Coffin's name appears as "Lott Layor"); and two documents signed by Coffin as a witness. Also included in the series is a 1711 document regarding Coffin's estate, which settles Coffin's five freeholder lots among his three sons. The series is arranged alphabetically by record type, and thereunder chronologically.
