Series I, Biographical, financial, and other papers, 1903-1978, undated (bulk, 1908-1925) (#1.1-1.6), contains biographical material; clippings; compiled lists of Hanson's clients and projects; work invoices; notes; two photographs of Hanson; and printed material. The biographical material includes a biographical sketch by Hanson's daughter, Phyllis Ray; a photocopy of a registration card to the International Correspondence Schools in Scranton, Pennsylvania; and a 1916 photocopy of a biographical/ professional sketch from a booklet compiled by the City of Gloucester (Massachusetts) Board of Trade. The lists of clients and projects were compiled by Hanson's daughter, Phyllis Ray and the financial records include 1908 to 1915 invoices, which are un-related to specific commissions. The series is arranged alphabetically by record type, then by topic.
