A pair of stays made from fine linen, handsewn and edged with leather on the waist tabs and top. The center front is embellished with decorative cross-lacing in a thin wool tape, the same tape used to cover the seams on each section of the stay body. The body is lined with undyed linen. There is some staining from wear and age. These are finely sewn and constructed, most likely by a professional stay-maker.
