Series XXI, Antoinette E. (Reed) Pierce (1827-1904) papers, 1842 (#2.6-2.7), contains a letter written by 15-year-old Antoinette E. Reed from the family home in Edgecomb, Maine, to her sister Margaret P. Reed, in Boston, Massachusetts. The letter relates family news and an account of an outing to Wiscasset on a steam frigate. Also included in the series is a copy of Flower Vase inscribed with an affectionate note, signed "Cupid." The series is arranged alphabetically by record type.
