Description

Series II, Financial records: banking institutions, 1939-1985 (#C.2.10-C.5.23), contains bank cards; bank drafts; bank statements; cancelled checks; check registers; check stubs; deposit and other banking slips; financial correspondence; investments records; mortgage papers; trust fund papers regarding the Walter Gropius Trust Fund; and other bank account records. The records reflect Walter and Ise's financial dealings with German and American banks and contain material in both German and English. Such banking institutions include Berliner Bank Aktiengesellschaft, Cambridge Trust Company, Deutshe Bank Aktiengesellschaft; Harvard Trust Company, and others. Access and use restrictions apply. The series is arranged alphabetically by institution, then by topic, and thereunder chronologically.
