This binder was kept intact, despite its non-archival housing, in order to preserve Nina Fletcher Little's organizational structure. The binder is divided into three sections: portraits, pastels, and landscapes. The portraits section is divided into four chronological sub-sections: 1715-1730, 1750-1780, 1780-1800, and 1800-1820. There are also portrait sub-sections for Boston and for dressed miniatures. The pastels section features notes and two images of pastel portraits. The pastels and the landscapes sections are much thinner than the portraits section. All of the sections feature photographs, letters, and research notes. Several loose items were given archival three-ring sleeves by the collection processor.
