Erica B. Lindamood, the 2002 Little Fellow at the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities, interviewed John B. "Jack" Little and Warren M. "Renny" Little, the two sons of Bertram K. and Nina Fletcher Little. The interviews were conducted separately and focused on the life history of Bertram and Nina Little and the historic use of land at Cogswell's Grant. The goal was to gather information in order to broaden the interpretation of Cogswell's Grant to include the family, social, and landscape history of the property. Jack Little was interviewed on three occasions and Warren Little on two occasions.
In addition to the ten audio tapes preserved here, Lindamood wrote a complete transcript of the interviews. The written material also includes an introduction to the project and its methodology; an essay interpreting the Littles' relationship with the landscape at Cogswell's Grant (see Introduction, Part VI); brief biographies and interview summaries for Jack and Warren Little; and numerous property maps, illustrations, and photographs.
