Simon Newcomb] (includes sketches); letters from artist Larkin Mead concerning his bas-reliefs used at the base of the Monument; a letter from Richard Hunt; a permission letter from Hugh Sisson and Sons for colored press to attend the Monument dedication; as well as letters advising Casey to study other structures and letters regarding salary increases.
