Album of design drawings produced by A. H. Davenport Co. titled: "Wood Boxes. Chests." The title is printed on the spine in gold on a red leather label. The company name is printed in black on the front cover; the volume number "9" is also printed in black on the spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 212 pages. There are four pages which have eleven pencil drawings on trace affixed with glue. The remaining 208 pages are blank. Drawings depict a variety of ssmall boxes, log racks and chests manufactured by the firm. Drawings often contain handwritten information including dimensions, wood type, model numbers, date, customer name and detailer initials. Named customers include: A. C. Baldwin; Danford Newton Barney (Farmington, CT); J. G. Cannon; Samuel Carr; Alfred Ivins Croll (Boston, MA); Edith Hill; and F. S. Moseley.
