Album of design drawings produced by A. H. Davenport Co. titled: "Mantels." The title is printed on the spine in gold on a red leather label. The company name is printed in black on the front cover; the volume number "17" is also printed in black on the spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 212 pages, some of which are now loose. There are four pages which have seven pencil drawings on trace affixed with glue; the remaining 208 pages are blank. Drawings depict a variety of fireplace mantels produced by the firm. Drawings often contain handwritten information including dimensions, wood type, order numbers, date, customer name and detailer initials. Named customers include: W. Brown; J. G. Cannon; George Eastman (Rochester, NY); and E. D. Godfrey (New York, NY)..
