Description

Design drawing titled "Oak Stand for Globe, Made for C. C. Walker Esq." rendered in pencil on trace. Side view is shown; a top view of the leg placement is also present. Stand is composed of a circular rim supported by four legs and stretchers. Rim has a molded edge and skirt with carved ornamentation including scrolled acanthus leaves above each leg. Legs and stretchers have heavy spiral turnings; legs terminate in large paw feet. Title, design notes, scale and "11455" are handwritten. Also handwritten are: "J. B. W. Feb 6 - 1907" and "G. B. P. F. H. B. detail."
