Design design drawing titled "Brass Bracket with Book Rest for Either Arm or Stuffed Chair" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view of chair and detail view of book rest are shown. Upholstered arm chair has rolled back and arms; two turned tapered ovoid legs with ring turnings in front; rectangular splayed legs in back; and casters on all four feet. Each arm has a circular brass plate with a central hole that can be used as a socket. Separate brass arm with an attached adjustable book rest may be inserted in either arm. Title and "12487" are handwritten on drawing. Also handwritten is: "This detail not at factory -- See Mr. Weeks."
