Design drawing titled "Sofa - Louis XV - for Mrs. Rice" rendered in pencil. Perspective view is shown. Louis XV or Rococo Revival-style sofa has three-part back with curved crest rail; open arms with C-scroll arm supports; upholstered back, seat and arm rests; shaped skirt; four cabriole front legs terminating in paw feet; and splayed rear legs. Carved ornamentation inludes scrolls and acanthus leaves on crest rail, arms, arm supports, skirt and legs; and two carved heads on crest rail. Title is handwritten in pencil on drawing.
