Design drawing titled "Small Sofa in Music Room" rendered in ink on trace. Perspective view is shown. Sofa has straight crest; outwardly flaring arms same height as back; arm supports with carved volutes and acanthus leaves; rectangular seat; upholstered back, arms and seat with nail trim at lower edge; straight seat rail with carved rectangular blocks above legs; two turned and fluted Marlborough front legs; and two splayed rear legs. Title, dimensions, design notes and "# 718" are handwritten on drawing. Also handwritten are "Made for H. St. John Smith" and "Det. June 4 - 1896."
