Design drawing titled "Of Circassian Walnut" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Renaissance Revival-style settee has triple-seat back form with arched crest rails, solid splats and caned backs; turned stiles and arm supports; shaped open arms with scroll handholds; seat with over-the-rail upholstery and two rows of brass tacks along lower edge; four cabriole front legs teminating in scroll feet on pads; raked square back legs; turned side stretchers; and elaborately carved front stretchers. Carved ornamentation includes acanthus leaves on knees of cabriole legs and foliage, shells, scrolls and acanthus leaves on crest rails and front stretchers. Inlaid or carved ornamentation on splats. Title, "J. M. Laselle" and "3993" are handwritten on drawing. Also handwritten is "Det. Oct 7 - 1902."
