Description

Design drawing titled "Double Seat of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Sofa has fully upholstered rectangular back and straight open arms; curved arm supports with carved acanthus leaves and rosettes; rectangular seat with over-the-rail upholstery; single row of brass tacks on edges of back and seat upholstery; two cabriole front legs with acanthus-carved knees and scroll toe feet; and two raked cabriole rear legs. Title, "L. C. Hanna" and "For Chair to Match See Vol 6 Page 87" are handwritten on drawing.
