Design drawing titled "Gold Console Table and Walnut and Gold Chairs." Front elevation is shown. Drawing depicts a console table, flanked on each side by a side chair, against a wall. Furniture is rendered in watercolor and pencil; background wall is in pencil only. Empire-style console table has overhanging black marble or stone top; fluted straight apron with central round cartouche and rosettes above legs; four tapered Flemish-scroll legs with carvedf foliate motifs extending down to carved acanthus leaves atop ovoid feet; and carved foliate garland draping from apron to legs and around scrolls. Side chairs have William and Mary-style backs with scrolled crest rails, turned and carved vasiform stiles, and oval caned splats; upholstered slip seats; cabriole legs with carved acanthus leaves on knees and scroll feet. All wood surfaces on table and chairs are gilded. Title and scale are handwritten on bottom. Embossed on lower left edge is "Return to A. H. Davenport Co. 96 Washington St. Boston, Mass."
