Design drawing titled "Hat and Coat Tree of Oak for Mrs. C. B. Alexander" rendered in pencil on trace. Side and top views are shown. Empire-style hat stand has large acorn finial atop an octagonal faceted and flaring pole; carved bellflowers above two graduated tiers of four bronze hooks; stepped base of pole; and cruciform-shaped platform with carved acanthus leaves above four large paw feet. Title, design notes, "N.Y. Order 19749" and "11489" are handwritten on drawing. Also handwritten is "Detailed Jan 30 - 1907 F. P."
