Design drawing titled "Cabinet of Blue Lacquer Decorated with Silver and Gold" rendered in watercolor, metallic ink and pencil. Front view is shown. Short rectangular Chinese Chippendale-style cabinet has top with molded edge; one shallow drawer with two bail handles; case with two side-hinged doors; shaped skirt; and four short cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. Entire surface is covered with blue paint and/or lacquer. Cabinet doors have a painted Asian scene which includes a pagoda, birds and trees; other painted motifs are on drawer front, skirt and legs. Painted decoration is partially done in gold or silver. Title is handwritten on front; several handwritten dimensions are faintly visible on back. Embossed on lower left edge is: "Irving and Casson - / A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York."
