Description

Design drawing titled "Commode in Blue Lacquer" rendered in watercolor and pencil on board. Perspective view is shown. Drawing depicts Chinese Chippendale-style commode or chest with serpentine front and sides; overhanging top; cabinet with two side-hinged doors; key escutcheon on each door; and carved scroll feet. Entire surface is covered with blue lacquer and painted Chinese-inspired motifs. Title is handwritten in pencil on drawing.
