Design drawing titled "Commode of Walnut Gold Mirror Over" rendered in pencil and watercolor. Perspective view is shown. Drawing shows a portion of a wall with a mirror hung above a commode and flanked on either side by draperies. Queen Anne-style gold rectangular mirror with gently arched top has carved ornamention of scrolls and shells on top and bottom of frame. Commode with conforming top has projecting center section and two narrower receding sections; carved and gilded cornice; and gilded egg-and-dart molding above base. Fronts of side sections have burled walnut veneer framed by gilded moldings forming vertical rectangles with concave corners; front of center section has an Asian-inspired painting framed by gilded moldings forming a square with concave corners and applied gilded c-scrolls. Draperies have a large-scale floral motif on a blue-green ground. Title, dimensions, and "110 Mirror 685" are handwrittten in pencil. Embossed at lower left corner is: "Irving and Casson / A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York."
