Design drawing titled "Hat Stand of Mahogany Made for Providence Institution for Savings" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Hat stand or coat tree with umbrella stand has a square pole with pineapple finial and three tiers of brass hooks; attached square brass frame divided iinto quadrants for holding umbrellas; square base with four circular drip pans; and four flared and faceted brass paw feet. Title, design notes, "32008" and "11280"" are handwritten on drawing.
