Federal-style secretary-bookcase has five plinths above cornice; four ball and spike finials on corner plinths; molded cornice; upper bookcase section with two side-hinged glass doors and muntins forming diamond shapes; molded rim at base; lower desk section with fall-front writing surface above three drawers; two lopers with ball pulls; two bail handles with oval plates on each drawer; shaped skirt; and French bracket feet. Secretary is shown with fall-front lid open. Interior has two drawers and six arched pigeonhole openings. Title, dimensions, "Det 38731" and "Irving & Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York." are handwritten on drawing.
