Design drawing with three views titled "Check Desk in Public Space," depicting a check-out desk for use in a library. End view is rendered in watercolor and pencil; front and top views are in pencil only. Rectangular desk has a glass top over the wooden surface. Glass top has a low glass middle partition with two inkwells and daily calendars built in on each side of the divider. Two solid plank supports are at each end of the desk with the front and back edges carved with acanthus leaves and bellflower motifs. Side of support has a large recessed panel. Title and design notes are handwritten on drawing.
