Description

Design drawing with three views titled "Charging Desk Reading Room," depicting a desk for use in a library. Front view is rendered in watercolor and pencil; top and rear views are in pencil only. Desk is angled to have five sides and has an overhanging top with molded edge; paneled sides; and a solid base with molded rim. Desk has drawers for supplies and cash; card filing trays with drop front shelf; and shelves. Title, dimensions, design notes and "29386" are handprinted in pencil. Stamped in lower left corner is: "Irving & Casson / A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York."
