Description

Design drawing titled "Georgian Sideboard of English Oak or Walnut with Black and Gold Marble Top" rendered in watercolor and pencil. Perspective view is shown. Drawing depicts a sideboard against a wall with interior woodwork, portrait, sconces and other details sketched. Georgian Revival sideboard has double pedestal form with two square pedestals flanking a sideboard table with four legs. Each pedestals has top smaller than base; fluted molding and carved rosette on frieze; recessed burl panels on cabinet front and sides; and base with molded rim. Rectangular table has overhanging marble top; fluted frieze with carved rosettes and foliage; four square tapered legs with fluting on lower half; and spade feet. Title, dimensions and "Irving & Casson" are handwritten below drawing. Drawing is signed "C Bill" at lower right corner.
