Upholstered armchair has molded wood crest rail with curved corners transitioning into curved stiles to arms; outward scrolling arms with scrolling wood hand holds and curved arm supports; loose seat cushion; raked square rear legs; and cabriole front legs terminating in feet with carved scrolls. Painted decoration on tablet at center of crest rail, hand holds and knees of legs. Title is handwritten on drawing. Blind stamped at lower left corner is "Irving and Casson / A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York."
