Bureau with Mirror

Description

Untitled design drawing of a chest with octagonal mirror mounted above rendered in pencil and watercolor. Neoclassical-style rectangular chest has overhanging top with molded edge; four drawers with round brass pulls; and tapered legs. Center of top drawer is decorated with a painted or applied decorative motif; center of apron has a painted or applied garland and oval medallion motif. Octagonal mirror has gilded frame; top of frame has scrolling acanthus leaf decoration which continues down two sides. Hand printed in pencil at lower left of chest is either "Kendall" or "Randall." Back of drawing has rough pencil sketch of a room floorplan. Also in pencil on back is the following list: "Chiffonier 200 200 / Chair 50 50 / Mirror 75-90 75 / 875 / 910."
