Description

Design drawing titled "Serpentine Front Bed of Mahogany & Satinwood" rendered in watercolor and pencil. Perspective view is shown. Bed has headboard with canted corners and curved crest; serpentine-shaped footboard has molded bottom edge; shaped apron; side rails with molded bottom edge; and French bracket feet. Headboard and footboard have flame mahogany veneer panels; satinwood banding; and inlaid stringing and abstracted floral mortifs. Title and one dimension are handwritten on drawing. Blind stamped at lower left corner: "Irving and Casson / A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York."
