Description

Design drawing with two views titled "Revolving Bookcase of Mahogany." Front view is rendered in pencil and watercolor; top view is in pencil only. Circular revolving bookcase has two levels of shelves; a columnar pedestal; and a cruciform base terminating in lion's-head feet on casters. Shelf partitions have painted or carved ornamentation including an oval cartouche with a female profile. Title, dimensions and "3398" are handwritten on drawing. Embossed at the lower left corner is: "Return to / A. H. Davenport Co. / 96 Washington St. / Boston, Mass." Drawing is mounted on cardboard.
