This series, which makes up the bulk of the collection, consists of glass plate negatives of photographs taken by Alice Augusta Rogerson Brown as well as the original housing of the collection. Glass plate negatives document rural and urban New England life and consist of exterior views, portraits, and depictions of individuals interacting with their environments. Locations photographed include various Massachusetts towns and cities, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and the White Mountains.
