Description

Design drawing titled "Single Bed of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Drawing depicts two beds. Each single bed has shaped headboard and footboard with straight crest rail and scrolled ends; four square chamfered posts with elongated pineapple finials on turned bases; and carved vasiform turned feet terminating in casters. Title, design notes, "Det. 251" and "J. B. Richmond 45531" are handwritten on drawing. Also handwritten is the following: "Sent to factory Aug 27 - 1904 / Traced for " [factory] Oct 25,1906 H. E. B. / for J. B. R."
