Description

Design drawing titled "Bed of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Double bed has headboard with serpentine crest rail with central carved angel surrounded by scrolls and foliate motifs; plain rectangular footboard; four square posts with carved foliate medallions at top and finials; shaped sides; and short square tapered feet with cuffs. Title, design notes. "J. W. Edwards" and "Det 16 Jan - 1903" are handwritten on drawing.
