Design drawing titled "Four Post Bed of Mahogany and Maple" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown. Neoclassical-style tester bed has arched headboard with carved basket of fruit at center top of molded crest rail; rectangular footboard; recessed white mahogany burl panels with ebony molding on headboard and footboard; posts with turned and carved upper reeded vasiform sections, middle reeded cylinders, and long rectangular bases; urn finials; short tapered reeded legs terminating in casters; and tester frame attached to posts. Tester has flat top and cornice with white mahogany burl egg-and-dart molding. Title, design notes and "11559" are handwritten on drawing.
