Design drawing titled "Wood Box of Dark Oak" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Drawing depicts a rectangular box or small chest. Renaissance Revival-style box with flat molded overhanging top, rectangular case with stiles on all corners; stepped molded base; four large double-scroll feet; and brass bail handles on each side panel. Front has rectangular recessed panel with two molded borders enclosing a carved oval cartouche and strapwork surrounds. Front of stiles have carved oval panels with foliate motifs; sides of stiles have carved gadrooning. Title, note regarding brass handles, and "Samuel Carr" are handwritten on drawing.
