"Cherry Chest"

Description

Design drawing titled "Cherry Chest" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown. Rectangular chest has flat overhanging top; case with narrow panels on each side of a shorter wide center panel; carved moldings on three sides of center panel; and feet formed by cyma-curve cutouts at inside bottom of side panels. Center panel has large carved gadrooned diamond enclosing a foliate motif with bell flowers; diamond is surrounded by foliage with a sqaure frame. Title, design notes, "Mrs. D. M. Barney N. Y. 5407," "11928" and "21668" are handwritten on drawing.
