"White and Gold Toilet Table"

Description

Design drawing titled " White and Gold Toilet Table" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view of dressing table and mirror is shown; top plan of table is also shown. Toilet or dressing table has rectangular form with modified serpentine front edge; canted corners; overhanging top with molded edge; two sets of three shallow drawers with bail handles flanking center panel; curved skirt with carved foliate motifs on center panel; carved stiles; cabriole legs with curved brackets at top and carved knees; and carved scrolled feet. Shield-shaped mirror has carved ribbons and bowknot at top; carved scrolls at ears; and two curved supporting arms which extend to carved scrolled brackets at their base. Title, "11940" and "For Mrs. A. T. Stanwood N. Y. Order 6358" are handwritten on drawing.
