"Dressing Table of Cherry Painted"

Description

Design drawing titled "Dressing Table of Cherry Painted" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view of dressing table and attached mirrors is shown. Toilet or dressing table has three-sided form; splashboard; front ovolo corners; overhanging top with molded rim; center section with one shallow drawer; canted side sections with one shallow drawer above a cupboard; bail handles on all drawers; molded trim on cupboard doors; front columnar reeded stiles; and tapered round legs with carved turnings at top, cuffs and cylindrical feet. Three oval mirrors are are attached to two tapered reeded columnar arms with ovoid finials and carved acanthus leaves at bases; center mirror has carved bowknot at top and is the largest of the three mirrors. Title, design notes, "Made for Mrs. Howard 25032" and "11328" are handwritten on drawing.
