"Toilet Table of White Curly Maple"

Description

Design drawing titled "Toilet Table of White Curly Maple" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view of dressing table and attached mirror is shown; top plan of table is also provided. Neoclassical-style toilet or dressing table has rectangular form with bow front; narrow splashboard; overhanging top; two drawers on each side of central shallow panel; inlaid or painted garlands, swags and bellflowers on center panel and stiles; tapered reeded round legs with cuffs; and cylindrical feet. Oval mirror frame has carved ornament at top; and two plain columnar supporting arms with pineapple finials and foliate carving at bases. Title, design notes, "11886" and "Mrs. A. J. Herr 27162 / 27606 Also" are handwritten on drawing.
