Description

Design drawing titled "Extension Table of Circassian Walnut" rendered in pencil on trace. Side and end views are shown; plan of top is also provided. Renaissance Revival-style table has rectangular overhanging top with carved gadrooning and foliate motifs on apron below; seven fluted columns with carved capitals on each side, connected by arches; columns resting on stretcher with carved foliate motifs; two end boards with large fluted column flanked on each side by carved winged female torso with fruit, foliage, and scrolls; and end board resting on carved base with scrolled feet. Title, design notes, "For George Crocker Esq." and "#7626" are handwritten on drawing.
