Design drawing titled "Writing Desk or "Secretary" of Mahogany "Branch" Wood" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Chippendale-style desk has hinged slant-front which opens to reveal an interior writing surface, drawers and pigeonholes; two lopers with round pulls; four drawers with key escutcheons, bail handles and bat-wing plates; molded lower edge; center carved drop ornament on skirt; ogee bracket rear feet; and ogee brackets with ball-and-claw feet in front. Title, design notes, and "Detail 4929" are handwritten on drawing.
