Design drawing titled "Writing Desk of Mahogany" rendered in ink on trace. Perspective view of two desks is shown; plan of interior compartments is also provided. Each Chippendale-style blockfront desk has hinged slant-front which opens to reveal an interior writing surface, drawers and pigeonholes; two lopers with round pulls; three drawers with key escutcheons, bail handles and bat-wing plates; molded lower edge; and ogee brackets with ball-and-claw feet. Desks are identical with two exceptions: the slant-front lid of one has carved panels and shell. This desk also has spiral-turned half-columns on the two front edges. Title and "#77" are handwritten on drawing.
