Rectangular pedestal desk has overhanging top with carved molded edge; deep frieze with molded bottom edge and retractable writing surface at each side; two pedestals, each with four drawers with bail handles on one side of desk and a cupboard on the other, that rest on bases with molded top edges; carved interwined spiral molding on inner vertical edges of pedestals; sides with carved corners on frieze, rectangular panel with carved molding in center, and two large projecting fluted scrolls carved with foliate motifs. "Prudential Ins. Co. / Pres. Office / N. Y. O. 14480" and "2222 / 41323" are handwritten on drawing.
