Neoclassical-style work table has hinged rectangular top; two rectangular drop leaves; three drawers with round pulls; ring turned stiles; four tapered reeded legs with ovoid and ring turnings at top and botton; ball-and-claw feet; and silk work bag. Interior compartment has eight divided cubbyholes. Design notes and "For W. L. Mellon" are handwritten on drawing. W. L. Mellon refers to William Larimer Mellon, Sr. of Pittsburgh, PA.
