Description

Design drawing titled "Gilded Cherry Music Bench" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown; plan of top is also provided. Rectangular bench has overhanging top with serpentine shape on all sides and carved gadrooned edge; apron with shaped skirt and carved volutes and shells; four cabriole legs with carved bellflowers and scrolls; and scrolled toe peg feet. Title, design notes, "Made for Mrs. J. C. Hoagland N. Y. 11853," "Job 36527" and "11351" are handwritten on drawing.
