Description

Design drawing titled "Ottoman" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Rectangular bench or footstool has upholstered cushion with single row of metal tacks along bottom edge; open sides with turned horizontal rails with carved foliate motifs in centers supported by flaring stiles on each end; straight apron; four tapered reeded round legs with carved flared turning at top; and cuffed feet. An alternate leg without the turning is also sketched. Title, design notes and "For W. White" are handwritten on drawing.
