Design drawing titled "Mhg. Bureau" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Bowfront dresser or bureau has overhanging top; shallow backboard with concave corners; six drawers with bail handles in a three-over-three graduated arrangment; front stiles with inlaid or painted bellflowers and stringing; inlaid or painted foliate motif on top center drawer; and short turned feet. Rectangular mirror has arched pediment with foliate motif at top and is attached to dresser by two square fluted supporting arms with pineapple finials. Title is handwritten on drawing as are the following two notes: "for Miss Brayton / Mr. Hutchins order detailed by Jackson," and "Drawing from / which this / tracing was / made is in / Bureau folio / marked / Mhg Bureau for / Mrs. Babbott."
