Design drawing titled "Painted Bureau" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Low chest of drawers has rectangular form with canted front corners; overhanging marble top; three graduated drawers with bail handles and key escutcheons; stiles with molded edges; shaped curved skirt with painted floral motif at center; and short carved feet. Title, design notes, "Made for C. Vanderbilt" and "11313" are handwritten on drawing.
